Still quite wip....

Cleanse, where prisoners are stripped, cleaned, examined and directed to their cell.

Aerial of La Defense

The index of a cell
that my towers will contain 12.960 prisoners; positioned in one single row front to back they will fill the entire 3000 metres of Guggenheim ramp...
still very white and rendery, needs some work. I am not sure of the camera points but maybe thats because I m getting blind with all the whiteness... Should they all be CCTV? I want to use these interiors to make the plan renders and section.

I just put this in the print queue here at school, it will be STL scaled 1:200. For now I did 1/2 and 1/4 of a tower, all divided horizontally in seperate segments. In the end I want to make a stack of these 6 segments to use as a presentation sequence. I have no clue what the level of detail is going to be, the scale is equal to the steel model. The remaining 3 levels need to be finished. The programme in between should be constructed as frameworks. Not sure yet what material, maybe brass if the time allows but not main priority at the moment.

Flavie had a very cool idea to introduce a sort of narrative in which the traces on the ground (sigarette, can of coke, etc) relate to the scenario of one or more presonalities. So on all images there are little details which reveil the inhabitation of the prison. It reminds me a bit of Ballard and the rebrief where i identified objects and incidents as a scenario of destruction. Something to think about. I think the plate still needs some work.

working on drawings I remembered I once wanted to make this superbook with all plans from top to bottom. Below a test at 1:600, not super necessary but I think its fun. Also I did model research today and know pretty much now how to do it. The towers will be Cement Fondu, casted from silicone moulds, casted from a STL model. I want to print the rehab programme STL as well and spray paint gold or something funky. ANd maybe resin to make the base and fill the rehab space on above ground level. All scaled 1:500... These days I will prepare the STL drawings. Then also work on rest of 3d model incl. materialisation and think about the images. And of course site photographs. And revise the storyboard.... and manifesto.... and book.... Argh...

there is supposed to be a rendered porsche somewhere on the right. In fact i downloaded a collection of cars to build a little car park. I don't have sufficient memory for rhino to handle it so a little preview meanwhile. more later...

this is still the old model. i am now working on my drawings again to develop and refine the issues we talked about. from there i want to continue working on the 3d and start to finally prepare making MODELLLLS!
