Tiling WIP
Some further guidance is certainly needed as I don't feel as though I'm clear. I've been looking at how I can simplify each of the forum types - have some very clear rules that are super simple but give complexity in how they are associated with each other. So I've been looking at a-periodic tiling that occurs in both 2D and 3D. It's leading me in an interesting direction although I feel as though I'm becoming stuck once again. Here's some images below that give an idea of what I've been looking at.

The above isn't a periodic, but I've taken a traditional block arrangement (a grid) and begun to rotate it to increasing amount towards the river, in doing so creating more public and less private space whilst maintaining circulation throughout. So the traditional grided circulation becomes the forum circulation closer to the river.
Below is beginning to look at a-periodic tiling - here, using only two types of tiles that can be repeated, but with no part being the same as any other part. Something I wan't to carry on looking at throughout the day.

Hi P - responding as per your sms request! Well, I can't exactly tell what you need in terms of feedback - it all seems to make sense - and the gradient from river to periphery is clear - you can always locally modify it once the entire system is in place (later, next week, etc etc). As for the tiles - it's a bit small to understand - all I can say is good - go for it and make as much of the plan as you can. From what I can glean off these 2 pics - top one seems to offer a bit more. Although I can also imagine that when one zooms into a little fragment, it would look similar-ish to the bottom one, with its interweaving of forum + filler.
all good - go go go!

For a TS (again I'm making a loose interpretation from what I understand off these images) you'll be able to develop a wall/surface (wha'eva - we'll see more specifically tomorrow) that varies according to its programmatic/void content. So becomes thicker/thinner, smooth/faceted, etc etc and how you choose to materialise these spaces will allow for slight varying fabrication + construction methods. So, like with the spaces, you will propose a system that allows for modifications according to scale, program, etc.
We'll chat tomorrow!
