Is the strange surface the light blue shell?
In the previous posts I ve explained the evolution of the ribs from a fully ribbed to its adaptaion to provide the structural equilibrium. This parameter was associated with the concept of sequence (I discussed this w Monia in the last tutorial) so there is a progression of its deisntegration(from melting closer to you to further). The colors of the shells are different to be able to distinguish the smooth part versus the veins.
The previous render is the same shell. I modelled the veins in a way that I am controlling its vertical growth (see 1 images how they started to growsides ways).
I ll post the feet of the petal-hw they touch the floor through the day.
