Updated Views - some still WIP

|
Here are the views, mostly done.
They are all ready to be printed after which some of the interior views will have hand drawn hatching applied for shadows/ texture.

3D Plate-WIP

|

3D plate.jpg

i am currently working on the next 3D plate. The Venice view will be flat. Then i thought of having 3 different configurations unfolding from the city

1) the enclosed space which completely detaches one from the city - blue layer

2) the whole arrangement which becomes part of the city - green layer

3) and the scattered towers - purple layer

ERvised Pages and Images

TS_1.jpg

The plans of all transformations are revised and diagrams of how space quality and configuration changes is added at the bottom. I think its much clearer now that i am talking about transformations of space quality and also it makes it more clear that each transformation is intentional and has a purpose.

I want to add tree alleys but didnt like the photoshop of actual trees so i just modelled some which look a bit fake but i like how they tie well with the aesthetic of the image. Story board to be brogged once i get home.

Today i had a TS tutorial and we discussed the different issues of the proposal and the solutions. The main issues are on the base since i need to find a way to concentrate all the load on the base which will be constructed with truces. Since the base will be in steel with just a thin layer of concrete for the platform it is more logical for the whole structure to be steel construction. So the wind bracing and the distances of the 'net' of the structure will depend 1st on the position of the perforations and 2nd on the joints between the bracings. These issues need to be tested for the wind load so i need to try a number of steel frames compositions to see how each will react with the wind load. Other than that it is fisible and i just need to draw and model it! And show the spatial quality through the images.

page 1.jpg

The attachment and 'explosion' of the crematorium into a more urban configuration for the ity of the dead. the rail lines are not visible but details are yet to come.

detail 1.jpg

Zoom into the connection of the tower and the ground will be added and also detail of the materiality of the walls both internally and externally.

close up of tower.jpg

Internal configuration of the fragmented tower. At the moment i have the arrangement of tombstones on both sides but although i like how this will look from the exterior i am not sure if the section seems like a supermall. each opening is 0.6m so platforms are placed every 2.2 metres which is an average rechable height. More details will be added as i am working on all of them at the same time.

I have made a plan with all things need to be done so working on them and hopefully i will have everything for tomorrow. with some renders maybe since i will have them for tuesday to explain the atmospheric quality of the materiality,  change in configuration and spatial relation between the inside and outside.

so....more is to come....
