WIP : an idea that the top structural pieces of the ceiling become these almost frail-thin like bodies (pendants) made out  of mesh metal and braced with a lattice of a ticker metal to shape its form. Its lower surfaces would be either clad or plastered (paper macheéd?) in order then to have painted frescos (murals) or mosaics applied on to them.

(i know the rendering is kinda crap) but ill maybe try to photoshop it...and will work on the body of the filigree pendants. :)

nice render - but rather than apply the photoshop - would think instead how to construct a kind of 'sacred pattern' to replace the more conventional application of an image. Look at mall articulation, signage systems, or lighting infrastructures, as possible starting points. your plan is already so pattern-driven would be an interesting way to also develop the iconography (it's early days yet, but good to keep in mind).

Likewise, with the boundary of the building - (currently ignored), would treat parking as an opportunity to extend the pattern of the interior outside to organize the vast amounts of parking you will need. this pattern can also shift between the generic requirements of parking and roads to a more customized pattern of inbetween green-spaces, trolley deposits, shrines, etc.
