Disorientation
Disorientation in a church, can signifies a potential of a person being in a mental confusion or impaired awareness, especially regarding place, time, or their personal identity. It reveals the emotional and physical experience through signified surprises, a battle between your emotional instincts. Where this emotional gradient can be described through architecture by an instrument – tunnel. These tunnels have series activities with uncertain routes or pathways where they can interconnect with varies programs, viewpoints and aperture of light reflections.
By having interconnectivity, the internal relations or potential connections can be expressed through radial geometry. Each radial geometry can define by the needs of programs whereby having many misleading pathways and act as the movement of space through time. Each movement of space connection can emerge to become gathering places – confessions rooms, praying chapels or any other potential programs. This is an acknowledgment of analogy where an approach of being able to experiment the transformation of compression feeling of being disorder and confuse.
Recognisation
Disorder tunnels enable to express the emotion gradient of a visit of church where different scale of these pathways play an extremely important role to define the church. There is a stage of time - where I felt confuse and misery
There is a stage of time - where my mind is empty and hollow
There is a stage of time- where I want to express my emotional puzzle feelings
There is a stage of time – where I feel there is new formation of goal
The experience gives me a memorable journey of space, every step of walking from outside the church‘s exterior through to the interior space create masses of sensitivities. There is a sudden moment of transformation, where a moment of time I felt misery, dark and hopeless, but once I enter the church, the sparks of ‘brightness’, “peacefulness’ appeals in my mind.
By revealing my emotional moment through visiting a church, the proposal, where there will be many tunnels that will represent the stages of emotions gradients where it will be apply: For instance, these tunnel, routes or pathways can descends into a darkness passage and emerge into an expansive light world of church interior as the passage can perform as the way I can feel misery, puzzle and dark. Another tunnel, where a transition of pathway can present a hollow feeling that can lead into varies chapels and a sudden alteration of peacefulness, hope and brightness will appear. Finally, the tunnel of departure will go through emotional feelings of relief, happy and cheerful. Consequently, some tunnels can perform as air circulations, aperture of light or even false routes where it translated the moment I felt – DISORDER and CONFUSE.
