preparing the canvas

As mentioned in the manifesto I want to start designing with two different volumes. The ground/canvas will provide the base for the imprint of the second volume, the white building to appear. The process is a simple boolean operation. I'm now trying to define the canvas/ground - and started of with a plan view- my inspiration- right now, is very close to a real "canvas" I'm thinking of textile textures, irregular weaves of the linen, variation in densities, thicknesses....I'm trying to define a spatial "mass"  with variation of texture and density in order to provide a base for the imprint. right now I'm working on a 3D version of the canvas...I also did some experiments with the different perspectives I was talking about in the manifesto -bird eye- frog eye- but then came to the conclusion I first have to work on the texture of the canvas in order to have a base to work with - but the different perspectives could be interesting I think in a second step.... sorry for not blogging - have been really busy thinking and working and thought the result is not really worth showing ...

boolean yes super interesting. Focus on one techniques and make it absurd. Be the expert on boolean white building on booleaned white ground. Don't limit yourself on 2d texture or 2d grid or 2d pattern. Boolean yes, much more difficult then overlapping texture that confuses our sense and if we zoom we get the trick. Be boolean, much more challenging! nicenice
