These diagrams demonstrate how the fragment relates to the existing buillding in a spatial way. It starts as a cladding or a enw facade that doesnt permit light. As it detaches from the existing building form, a light well appears. The fragment can only have wide span spaces in its upper floors because its Ground floor sits on part of the existing pavement (that is if it doesnt want to interfere with the road at all.)
