skinandbones_web.jpgPaid a visit to the Skin and Bones show that just opened at Somerset House. It investigates the relationship between fashion and architecture. Lots of beautiful dresses and great architectural models on display!

Is it in the space where the Gilbert collection used to be? (the basement)

its on the side closest to the river. its a brand new gallery...i suppose it might be the basement but it isn't underground...you will have to see for yourself...its a really nice exhibit and space.

yup yup. thats where the Gilbert used to be (an amazing collection of objets d'art that will now disappear into the store-rooms of the V&A). Its a gorgeous space and it great to see them using it for stuff like this. Could you recommend going to see the exhib?

i would definitely recommend going. its great to see the dresses up so close and the exhibit also includes many models for "iconic" buildings. its a really tasteful collection of objets. they really show you what you want to see. i think there could have been more in terms of content (mainly for the sake of visual indulgence) but the point comes across very clearly with what they have.
