February 2008 Archives

This is the first test of casting with a jig. I ran out of plaster, so the cast doesn't quite have the edge condition required for interconnecting with other panels.
Flip shell over. Wax.
Grease.
Pour in plaster.
Began spraying the parts I have already cut. Have a bit more cutting to do tomorrow.
Fabric is secured to frame and wax is applied.
The plaster is built up in layers to create a 1.5 cm thick shell. This will be used for casting the positive.
This is my sassy jig. It was milled today. Will put it to use tomorrow to make some casts of my c-r-i-n-k-l-e-s. Uh-huh!

Laser files for drawers.
Zap!

Priming in prep for painting. Stay tuned...
