The illusion needs revision in order for it to rise out of the 'white noise' that has engulfed the city. Traditionally it has been the position of power that create bifocal visions between the party and the public, through a single sided front, a party house, creating a clear version of their reality. For the overused illusion to be revised, the creation of the 'varyfocal' illusion must be achieved; a clear version of reality for the party house and a clear version of reality for the public. This calls for the phoenix principle; the demolition of the existing single sided 'front' and subsequent re-birth of a 'contradictory front', where both views are interwoven and locked within a battle eluding each other through creating their own clear realities.
A paradox is therefore created between the party group and the public through two views of propaganda arising within this new contradictory front. The party headquarters one-way version of reality becomes replaced with a two way illusion. The program is one of narrating a script of this paradox between the party group and the public; a series of interwoven contrasting elements brought together into a new structure, a new beginning.
Smoke and Mirrors Vs Smoke and Mirrors
The narrator creates a two way illusion between the party group and the public. Direct interaction and influence is required from both of these parties. The contradictory front heads the threshold between public and private space both physically and metaphorically and the relations that are set out through the control embedded on us by the creator and their use of subtle transitions and layered motions to blur the appearance through illusions.
Openness V Enclosure
The script between the paradox involves the use and users through the party house; the routes and movements, the layering, the entanglement creating blurred forms and the geometric transcript of this. The Linear and logical set paths within a space require revision, formed by the creating of overlapping and interweaving public and party routes and spaces that form the basis leading to the ability of having direct influences upon each side.
