typical tower
Same programme, two different approaches, I updated the representations of them.
panorama image in three pieces for the blog
finally i can start testing potential views since the last few days of constantly crashing rhino...
you are in Tower 2, superfloor looking at the top floor of Tower 3 and you can see Tower 1 on left, behind the lifts...
no materials, still quite depressing space, only two people walking...

In the typical approach, 8 apartments are placed around the core on every level. the seperation of the shared spaces and the private spaces are very clear. Even if there's a shared space in the tower, it is completely seperated from the public. Letting public use the upper floors just like the ground level will create a 24 hours alive tower just like a city in itself with 3.000 inhabitants.

these are the levels 01 - 05 in one compartment,
all shared spaces are aligned in this diagram. thicker lines are the folds.

here, the chains can be seen as they are placed on top of eachother shifting 4.5m.

the ground level opens in one corner to the city, the removed mass is distributed around the entrance as individual low-rise buildings.
I wanted to keep the ground level empty as a open park because of the lack of green space in the city. Also to encourage people follow the path as soon as they enter the site without spending time on the ground level, go up into the building's public spaces.
now the exterior is large glass windows. different curtains could make an interesting image.
