Addendum: The lines running across the multi-nave, and the funny shapes at either end of those lines are totem-columns, as the area is built using a post-and-beam system. There will be a wobbly architrave running above the totem-columns which hold up a flat coffered ceiling. The Chandeliers in this area will effectively be hanging climbing frames.

is mad and beautiful! only thing at the moment (and similar to last plan at mini-jury) is the lack of depth - and i know you've just started the plan - but is worth thinking about so it doesn't read as homogenous texture but has pieces of the drawing that attract focus and move the eye across the canvas.

are you going to pattern the entire plan or leave some areas as line drawing?

lastly, vaults aren't legible (and i know you said is a top view - not ceiling) - but might be worth having small parts of the plan rendered as x-ray to highlight the more developed (and architectural) areas.

I love your drawing, i think natasha has a point by saying you should concider keeping some area just for lines and others with patterns and colour... really really nice! maybe i could consult you for mine some time!

Thanks Natasha and Marie...
super helpful comments.
I will start to gouge out and pile up areas of the plan as it develops. But for now, Im just filling out the base layer bit by bit... then I will be X-raying areas and having areas with massive "highlight lines" a la Frank Auerbach.
I cant wait to be fully better. I get so tired so easily at the mo :0(

nice i like it!
i like the red areas becuase it comes up more from the drawings. i don't mind if it is even more colored but you need to make sure something come up more (like with a stronger color, or the black vaultings you had on midterm jury that they were so beautiful)...
